March 7 National Cereal Day #NationalCerealDay

Food Holidays Review

March 7th is National Cereal Day #NationalCerealDay which is perfect for my family. It’s also Friday and Charlie and I’ve decided for dinner we were going to do a #fendforyourselfdinner. If your not familiar with fend for yourself dinners that is where everyone finds something in the kitchen they want to make and that is what there having for dinner.

I bought Cereal for Charlie and I for dinner the other day and that is what were going to have for dinner this evening. As for David I bet you he has a Hot Dog or two or five. With David you never no, how much he is going to eat.

If you knew Charlie you would think he was going to have Fruity Pebbles for dinner but we are almost out of them. Instead Charlie is going to have Fruit Loops . I couldn’t find Kellogg’s Honey Smacks the other day at Walmart I’m going to have Post Golden Crisp David says is the same as Kellogg Smacks. I sure hope David knows what he is talking about. Don’t you?

There isn’t a person alive who doesn’t know a bowl of Cereal, a spoon and some Milk (Lactaid, Almond or Soy Milk all count!) equals a party in your mouth! Fiber, Sugar, Raisins, or even Lucky Charms and the flavors and prizes each box holds are limitless and can add to any humdrum morning. Let’s snap, crackle and pop through all the reasons why National Cereal Day on March 7th should be in your day planner and on your menu!

National Cereal Day Activities

  1. Be sensible and start with some Fiber One for breakfast. For lunch, live a little and have a more robust Lucky Charms which are magically delicious.
  2. When dinner rolls around, go a little crazy and mix regular Cornflakes with Frosted Cereal and follow up with a Rice Krispy treat for dessert!

There are quite possibly over a hundred Cereals to choose from and if you want to expand your breakfast horizons, why not pick up a brand you’ve never had before like Cranberry Almond Crunch or Grape Nuts or even Kellogg’s Honey Smacks which is nearly 56 percent Sugar by weight! Good thing National Dentist Day is on March 6th to prepare for the crunchy, Sugary festivities of March 7th!
  4. Whether it’s to co-workers, friends or any mailmen or Jehovah witnesses that come to your door, hand them a small box of Cereal to commemorate the occasion. If you’re more of a DIY type of person, get some zip lock bags and fill them with a potpourri of your favorite cereal!
