How to Grow a Garden Find A Plant for Every Place by Frances Tophill & Charlotte Ager

Children's Book Reviews Homeschool Resources

I thought I would share a new children’s book with you not that school is out children will be saying were “bored”. Nip that in the bud with our Summer Gift Guide 25: How to Grow a Garden Find: A Plant for Every Place by Frances Tophill & Charlotte Ager I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review. I don’t know about you but I remember from school April Showers bring May Flowers. I’ve been pounding that into David and Charlie’s head the past couple weeks. I’ve been outside working in my Garden ie Flower Bed as people call for a couple weeks. I have a few more Flowers I need to get.

I was going through books and if your #gardening with your children or #Homeschooling and looking for a fun Spring/ Summer book to read with them you should check out How to Grow a Garden Find: A Plant for Every Place.

The cover of the book is green with leaves, Flowers. Butterflies and Ladybugs Charlie liked finding. The cover of the book has encouraged Charlie to come outside to check out the Flower bed and tell me what other Flowers I should get including pink Flowers.

The introduction to the book is full of information we should look for when reading the story. I liked how the book is broken down into chapters including Flowers & Herbs or Hedges & Edges along with further resources for us to check out.

Charlie learned gardening terms he hadn’t heard before which we would have used in our #Homeschool Spelling Class when Charlie was in school. Charlie has graduated and that doesn’t mean learning should stop so in the evening we would discuss the terms as a family.

My favorite part of the book was the Flower Garden which I’m sure you could have figured out. David liked the Herb Garden which we plan on creating this year on our Back Poch. Charlie liked the Rock Garden because he likes to collect Rocks. Which will go with our Gnome & Fairy Garden Theme we will be setting up on our porch soon,

If your teaching your children the 4 Seasons the Author touches on them as well. I believe How to Grow a Garden Find: A Plant for Every Place should be in every classroom Library and Science Class. As well as Gardening Centers for parents to pick up for there children to read while gardening.
