Tips for Baking with Kids

Make It Hands‑On: Let kids measure, dump, and stir. This recipe is forgiving, so it’s perfect for little helpers.

Use a Kid‑Safe Grater: If your child wants to help with the carrots, a kid‑friendly grater keeps things safe and fun.

Keep Spices Mild: Carrot Cake can be heavily spiced, but this version stays gentle for younger palates.

Turn It into Mini Cakes: Bake in a muffin tin for adorable carrot‑cake bites kids can frost themselves.

Add a Fun Finish

Turn this into Carrot Cake Snack Squares by cutting into small bars.

Add a sprinkle of pastel sprinkles for a fun finish.

Works beautifully as cupcakes (bake 15–18 minutes).
