I wanted to share 2 #Holidays that fall on February 13th which is National Cheddar Day #NationalCheddarDay also on February 13th is National Tortellini Day #NationalTortelliniDay. I don’t know about you but I love Cheddar Cheese.
Did you know Cheddar Cheese is mine and Charlie’s favorite Cheese of all time? David also likes it and its Cheddar Cheese is the Cheese we use most in our home. Come and celebrate National Cheddar Cheese with us this evening and I will make Homemade Cheddar Cheese Burgers.
As for Tortellini, I’m not sure I’ve ever had it and I also am not sur if David or Charlie have or not. It’s time to branch out and make something with Tortellini today. Before you ask yes, Charlie has graduated but that doesn’t mean learning should stop and that is why I’m going to have Charlie cook dinner this evening and prepare Cheddar Cheese Tortellini Bites with our Cheddar Cheese Hamburgers. If you haven’t had one of Charlie’s Hamburgers, you are missing out they are amazing. Come join us for dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: peas, diced ham, or steamed broccoli bits
Instructions
Boil tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter or heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add tortellini and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
Mix in optional add-ins for extra fun and flavor.
Serve warm and enjoy!
