Because your readers include families with ADHD, autism, sensory needs, and low literacy, here are practical, real‑life tips:

Bring noise‑canceling headphones and tablets to help distract kids from the noise
Pack snacks but check with the events you’re attending to make sure you can bring them in. Along with a refillable water bottle.
Choose morning events as mush possible.
Use strollers or mobility aids without hesitation and this is also for adults who have trouble walking or standing for long periods of time.
Take breaks set timers for 30 minutes for younger kids and an hour for older kids and even if they say they do not want a break to take the time to just regroup and discuss what will happen the next hour.
Let kids stim, move, or fidget whenever there is space for it. Just make sure you will not disturb people around you.
Keep expectations flexible because things can change in the blink of an Eye.

Monday: Art book basket and if you can take a trip to the library of bookstore for new books to add to the basket and both adults and kids should get books.

Tuesday: Museum activity you can find list of classes on their websites.

Wednesday: Hands‑on project that can be done at home or if you have the money let the kids take a Art Class or have the family do a painting class together.

Thursday: Music + movement and get outside or find a free dance lesson to take your family to.

Friday: Dallas Arts Month outing if you have space let the kids bring a friend.

Saturday: Family art fair at home let the kids prepare snacks and set up a display of the kid’s art and let them invite their friends and family.

Sunday: Ice Cream Sunday & Chats reflection- discuss what all you did during the week and let everyone discuss their favorite event and why.
