Summer heat, in Texas reaches over 100 degrees some days which means I end up chaffing more. Then when I through in exercise, and everyday life it can all lead to painful chafing, especially for those of us who are overweight or have big boobs or have sensitive skin.
As a woman I deal with chafing underneath my breasts and between my thighs, and once the skin becomes irritated it can burn. This can make it hard to get comfortable or even sleep. That is why I wanted to share my thoughts on Hyland’s Chafing Relief Protect & Soothe Cream after using it myself.
David and I purchased this cream at Walmart while searching for another brand of Chafing Cream I had used in the past which didn’t work as well as it should have. I’m glad David talked me into purchasing Hyland Chafing Relief and Protect * Soother Cream.
The tube is 3 ounces, and while the price around $14.99 felt a little expensive at first, a little bit goes a long way so one tube lasts quite a while. That is perfect for me because there would be times, I wouldn’t be able to afford $14.99.
What makes this chafing cream different is the cream-to-powder formula. The cream goes on smoothly like a cream but dries down to a powder-light finish that stays in place without feeling greasy. I especially like using the chafing cream before heading outside on really hot days because it helps protect my skin from rubbing and irritation. I have also used it after chafing starts, and it helps soothe the burning feeling so I can relax and sleep comfortably.
The formula is hypoallergenic and paraben free, which makes it gentle enough for sensitive areas. It also contains soothing ingredients like Aloe, Shea Butter, Calendula, and Tea Tree Oil to help calm irritated skin. Customers often mention how effective and gentle it is, and I agree. There is also a light lemony scent that is fresh without being overpowering.
Hyland’s Chafing Relief is designed for both men and women and can help protect against chafing, hotspots, and blisters even during workouts or hot weather. The directions say to apply a thin layer directly to areas at risk of chafing before activity and reapply as needed throughout the day. For already irritated skin, gently apply it to the affected area for soothing relief.
Warnings on the package state that it is for external use only and should not be used on serious wounds or burns. Which I wouldn’t do and neither would my family. David even came in from work and used some because he had begun to chafe from being out in the heat all day.
