Cool off and celebrate summer at Grapevine’s Historic Nash Farm

July 12, 2017November 13, 2017Glenda C.

Good morning, I would like to invite you to come and chill out with Charlie, David and I and enjoy to enjoy a sweet treat at Nash Farm’s Ice Cream Social July 15th. Now, before you ask yes, I do plan on taking my family to the event Ice Cream Social as we haven’t ever been to Nash Farm’s for any of the events they handle.

Cool off and celebrate summer at Grapevine’s Historic Nash Farm

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (July 10, 2017) – On Saturday, July 15, experience an Ice Cream Social at Nash Farm, 626 Ball St. Enjoy a fun evening of ice cream, Victorian lawn games and traditional music from 7 p.m. until dark in a historic 19th century setting.

Here’s the scoop, the family-friendly event will feature old-fashioned, hand-cranked vanilla ice cream and Victorian lawn games. Grab some friends and play a game of graces, rolling hoops, horseshoes, croquet and more. The Lone Star String band will accompany the evening with traditional old-time music played on the fiddle, banjo and guitar. All ages are welcome. Admission is $5 per person and includes ice cream, games and more. Be sure to bring lawn chairs, quilts or blankets for seating. Picnics are welcome.

Nash Farm, circa 1859, is the oldest operating farmstead in Tarrant County.  Through interpretive programs, events and exhibits, Nash Farm educates the community about the heritage and importance of the Grape Vine Prairie and Grapevine’s pivotal role in the development of North Texas. A variety of programs throughout the year including the 16th Annual Spring Into Nash, First Fridays at the Farm, Heritage Workshops, Special Events, Farm to Fork Supper, Barn Dance and the 17th Annual Nash Farm Fall Round-Up offer guests intriguing and unique learning experiences in a historic setting.

Tickets

$5 per person

Is the Ice Cream Social  something you or your family would enjoy attending? If so why or why not? Have you been to Nash Farm’s and if so what did you like about the events and things happening atNash Farm’s?  Is there something my family must see or that we must do while at Nash Farm’s?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
