I would like to share my thoughts with you on Advancing Your Photography a novel published By Marc Silber. I would want to let you know I received a copy of Advancing Your Photography for this review and the thoughts in this review are all mine and my families.
As a blogger one asset you need is a quality camera or phone to take pictures with. These items need to produce clear images and show the products in new and unique ways. For my family quality photographs is one thing we are missing on my blog but I am working to alleviate that problem. I know not only that I need to get better at taking picture but my family does as well if we plan on growing and getting sponsored post all bloggers look for.
David and I have been toying with taking a photography class which all three of us would need to attend because we all take pictures at different times. Although classes can get expensive although if we want to make money we must spend money. Although I don’t know where to find a photography class for children which Charlie could could take for a Homeschooling Extra Credit Class like in High School.
Once again I knew I needed to think outside the box on how to get us into a class when an email arrived for Advancing Your Photography and inside the book is everything we need to learn to take quality photos and we wouldn’t have to leave home. Nor would we have to spend money on classes. With this book we can teach Charlie ourselves and any of his friends that would like to learn photography skills.
I sat down to flip through Advancing Your Photography and I liked knowing the book is broken down into different sections which we can work on once a week. Once we master the skills in one section, we could move on to the next tip. I also like knowing Advancing Your Photography shows us how to process our images. I love that there is an index and it has words we might not know what they mean defined which we can use in a Vocabulary course for Charlie in our Homeschooling class and also use the words in spelling.
I liked that inside Advancing Your Photography it explains there are two ways to read this book because not everyone does things the same way. As I started to read the book I let Charlie read a page then I would the next page and even though Charlie stumbled with some of the words, we would go slow and Charlie was able to read Advancing Your Photography with my help.
Having the illustrations kept Charlie’s focus and also Davids, it was nice seeing the things the Author was talking about as it helped us complete the task he mentioned. I showed the book to David’s Uncle Don who is a professional photographer, and he said it is the perfect tool for beginning photographers and he was even able to learn an item or two through the book.
He started out learning darkroom skills and the basics of photography at the legendary Peninsula School in Menlo Park, CA, in the ‘60s, and moved on to hone his skills to professional standards at the famed San Francisco Art Institute, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of higher education in art and photography in the United States.
Marc has been an educator since then as well; he began his teaching career at the age of 19 at the National Outdoor Leadership School, teaching mountaineering.
When teaching a life-or-death subject such as mountaineering, one learns how to make sure the students understand the material; when Marc moved into teaching photography in workshops all over the country, he became renowned as an engaging and helpful speaker and coach, as his greatest joy comes from helping others.
More recently, Marc has embraced the digital age with a highly favorite YouTube show called “Advancing Your Photography,” which has won several Telly Awards and other recognition for his work there.
This book is a distillation of all the pro tips and wisdom in the YouTube series: Easy-to-understand photography tips from professional photography masters ─ all in one compact book that fits into your camera bag. Learn expert photography tips and tricks for beginners, to advanced photographers from masters of this art form in “Advancing Your Photography.”
