A Heart’s Landscape An Invitation to the Garden of Moments

I would like to share a new book A Heart’s Landscape An Invitation to the Garden of Moments written by Susan Lax which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.

I had my copy of A Heart’s Landscape An Invitation to the Garden of Moments sitting on my desk this morning. Looking at the cover I could imagine sitting on that dock watching the world go by. Stress was moving from my body. I felt calm for the first time in a long time and I knew I could handle anything I needed to handle allowing me to get the work I’ve been struggling to get down.

I handed the book to Charlie and asked him to read the back cover. Charlie said he couldn’t wait to see what we would find inside the book. Charlie said this should be a Coffee Table book that we read as a family each morning before we begin classes.

I love how the Author took the time to share parts of her life allowing us to get to know her before we even began reading the book. After hearing her story I felt like I had a new friend and Charlie said a new family member which I agreed with.

I love how she let us know we should practice a smile every day which I plan on having my family do everyday. As it will help get rid of any negative thoughts we’ve been dealing with. As well as stress will roll off of our shoulders. Would you like to join us in practice a smile every day?

Even without words the pictures in the book are amazing and calming. You could make up your own stories using these pictures. Which Charlie and I did in our Homeschool Reading Class. Would you like to join us. Open the book. Pick out a picture and let us know why you choose that picture and what story you would like to share with us and why.

About Susan Lax

Susan, like each one of you, has a story. The chapters of her story continue to add pages, presenting an ever-growing passion for sharing the healing gifts of awareness.

As a young mother and wife, Susan studied creative drama at Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts in Israel. After graduating, she developed and implemented an educational curriculum for creative drama at an elementary school before moving to the United States. Her evolving spiritual path led her to Chochmat HaLev, an independent center of Jewish Meditation. While there, she developed a newfound passionate relationship with the power of Spiritual healing, and in 2002 she became a certified Reiki practitioner.

Susan now offers spiritual coaching and care that is focused on, but not limited to, those touched by illness and loving someone through death. She also leads workshops and guided meditation sessions. In 2010 she began writing Morning Inspiration, heart awareness words for your moment. An email for your soul. Visit her website
