A Shell Is Cozy

I would like to share a new children’s book which you will find inside our Easter Gift Guide 2023: A Shell Is Cozy by Dianna Hutts Aston and Syliva Long. I received a physical copy of in exchange for this review.

It’s the perfect time to read A Shell Is Cozy for lots of children there out of school for Spring Break. Summer is right around the corner and families will be planning vacations to the Beach. Having A Shell Is Crazy will help children become familiar with shells they will see why at the beach or Ocean.

The pictures of the shells are so pretty in all of their vibrant colors from purple to orange. In so many shapes that I didn’t even know existed. I love that the Author reminded us animals may be inside the shell so we can be careful when picking shells up. I love how the Author explains things to us that Charlie and I can study in our Homeschool.

There was plenty of words Charlie wasn’t sure about which he can use for Spelling. Charlie even reminded me we could use the book in his Science Class as well as take a Field Trip to the Beach to see how many of the shells we could find. Would you like to come with us? I was surprised to find out you can even find shells online. I didn’t know that. Did you?

I also didn’t know Shells could be hungry and neither did David or Charlie which was a learning/ teaching moment for our family. They can be athletic which I am not even in the tiniest bit which is funny to find out a shell can outdo me. How about you? Fashion has even been created based on shells but I will not tell you who or what they made because I want you to check A Shell Is Cozy on your own.

A Shell Is Cozy I would say is for children in elementary school and younger. Although Charlie is going to be 16 soon and we learned things in this book and I believe adults could as well. If you know someone who likes collecting Shells this would be the perfect gift for them and any teachers or librarians you may know.
