A to Z Challenge April 2020 Letter R

As soon as we got up I reminded Charlie I needed to complete my post for the A to Z Challenge. Charlie asked me what letter we were on. I let Charlie know I was a tad bit behind.

Charlie said mom I can help you catch up what letter are we sharing this morning. I let Charlie know I was on R. As soon as I said this Charlies says lets share Rummikub which we play a lot.

Sharing Rummikub was fine with me as we use Rummikub in Homeschooling. Which Charlie thought you might be able to use this game as well for.

I let Charlie know I would need a dessert that begin with R as well. Charlie searched online and said mom, how about sharing a Rum cake recipe. I told Charlie that would be perfect.

Charlie being Charlie said mom make sure you let people know the cake contains Rum so they will not give it to children. I let Charlie know the Alcohol cooks out and he said I’m glad I wouldn’t want to get anyone drunk. LOL

Ages 8 and up, 2-4 players

It’s really no surprise that Rummikub is so popular – it has all the elements that make a great game: it’s easy to learn and fast moving, it’s different every time it’s played, it combines luck and strategy, and it changes quickly so every player has a chance to win until the very end.

Players take turns placing numbered tiles in runs and groups, rummy style. The ‘board’ continually changes as players adjust the tiles on the table. Be the first player to play every tile on your rack to win.
