Adventures for Breakfast

POW! Kids Books is proud to present the December 2022 release of Adventures for Breakfast. I received a copy of Adventures for Breakfast in exchange for a review. Adventures for Breakfast is written and illustrated by Anastasiya Keegan. Doesn’t the title Adventures for Breakfast make you want to sit down and dive into this new children’s book?

I sat down this morning while the house was quite before having breakfast to read Adventures for Breakfast. As I finished the book, I found myself wondering what Charlie would think of Adventures for Breakfast and why. As well as finding myself in the kitchen preparing a bowl of Oatmeal for breakfast because the book made me hungry.

Charlie came down that morning for school. I had Adventures for Breakfast laying out on my desk to show David. Charlie picked up Adventures for Breakfast to thumb through. The next thing I knew Charlie was reading the book. Not only that Charlie kept saying mom look did you see this or did you see that. \

As Charlie finished the book and closed the book up, I asked Charlie what he thought of the story. Charlie let me know he loved the plot. Charlie couldn’t stop talking about all the adventures the kids went on and how they used their imagination. Leading Charlie to try and figure out if he could do some of the things they did in the book.

Luna and Milo are sick of their grandma’s Oatmeal breakfasts… doesn’t a morning adventure sound better? Why yes it does! Buckle up!

About:

The sneaky siblings write Grandma a letter of apology, explaining the incredible, hilarious, and unbelievable occurrences that are preventing them from joining her at the breakfast table. They want to eat her Oatmeal, but fantastical things keep getting in the way! They’re thwarted by sea Monsters, a sleeping Bear, and even a fierce and friendly Dragon. Breakfast will never be the same, but hopefully Luna and Milo will make it back in time for lunch! Filled with page after page of quirky, colorful illustrations of the swashbuckling, pajama-wearing Luna and Milo, this whimsical adventure is sure to make kids and parents laugh out loud.

Adventures for Breakfast is a love letter to imagination—and a reminder that anything, even the same old morning routine, can turn into an adventure!
