Alamo Drafthouse in Denton Presents SPACE JAM MOVIE PARTY

Last night my family was given tickets to attend Space Jam Movie Party at Alamo Drafthouse in Denton, Texas. This was my families first time to attend this Cinema, but you can bet your bottom dollar it will not be the last time we attend movies here. Including BILL & TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE MOVIE PARTY March 3/11 purchase tickets here and also the Selena Movie Party they mentioned if it shown here. In the past we missed Bridesmaids Movie Party which I would have liked to attend with my girlfriends. Although David and Charlie would have watched this movie with me.

What do you get when you mix a six-time NBA champ, a beloved cast of wacky characters, and one of the catchiest theme songs of the ‘90s? You get what just might be the greatest game of basketball ever seen on the big screen.

I wish you could have joined my family for the SPACE JAM Movie Party, which we had three tickets to but ended up needing a extra ticket for Charlie’s cousin Jacob. Let me tell you they only had 3 seats left one on the front row David took and two in Handicap and we would have had to purchase both tickets as there sold in pairs. Which I didn’t know.

Space Jam Movie Party was out-of-this-world interactive screening filled with basketball, Looney Tunes, Monstars, and the GOAT himself, aka Michael Jordan. Alamo Drafthouse had hoopss and weights with mini basketballs! Just kidding they didn’t have hoops or weights but they did have mini basketballs which would allow us to fly like Mike. Sweatbands for when you’re taking on the Monstars and wanting to look like Richard Simoms. Who I had to educate Charlie and Jacob on.

They even had water bottles for everyone attending Space Jam Movie Party which we could use to store Michael’s Secret Stuff in. Which we all know is water and something I need to drink more of, and Alamo Drafthouse is nice enough to bring us glasses of water and keep them filled at all times. While waiting for the movie to begin lucky guest will have the opportunity to play the staff in a game of basketball. Iif you lose, you’ll have to work at Moron Mountain, forever. Which might be fun.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend a Movie Party you are able to celebrate your favorite movies with fun props, themed knacks and beverages which we can’t wait to sample at the next movie party we attend. During Alamo Drafthouse Movie Parties, you can cheer for your heroes, boo the bad guys, shout out your favorite lines, and even sing along with the songs – which is why you heard the audience singing “I believe I can fly unless you’re with a grouch like Charlie who kept telling me to stop singing even though the theater was packed with fellow fans singing. Next time I am sitting on a row all by myself so I can sing and not be interrupted with Charlie telling me facts about the movies were watching or the people in the movies like all the basketball players in here which we can study in our Homeschool Drama and Music Class.

Charlie and I will be practicing I Can Fly for our play Charlie is putting on in his drama class. Here are the words if you want to learn I Can Fly and your welcome to come do the play with us.

I Believe I Can Fly

R. Kelly

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an aweful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I’m leaning on the everlasting arms

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me

If I can see it, then I can be it
If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

Hey, ’cause I believe in you
Oh

If I can see it, then I can do it (I can do it)
If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it (hey)

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread wings and fly away
I believe i can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly (I can fly)
I believe I can fly (I can fly)
I believe I can fly (I can fly)

If I just spread my wings (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly)
If I just spread my wings (I can fly)
I can fly (I can fly, I can fly)
Woo (I can fly)
Hmmmmm… fly, fly, fly

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
