Applebee’s Grill + Bar

The other night Charlie and I went out to dinner and Charlie asked if we would be able to go to Applebee’s Grill + Bar. I asked Charlie what he planned on ordering and eating. Charlie let me know either Ribs or Chicken Strips. I asked Charlie if he was sure he was going to eat if we went there and he said he would. Once we arrived and our drinks were delivered it was nice to just sit and chat with Charlie.

The restaurant wasn’t busy and it wasn’t to nosy this time. We were seated where we could see the TV’s but Charlie didn’t want to watch them. Nor did he want to play on his phone which surprised me. I could tell something was on Charlie’s mind but I didn’t want to push him. I was just enjoying our time together. I sat quietly and looked through the Menu

David surprised both Charlie and I as he picked out a Classic Bacon Cheeseburger which is what I order when I order a Hamburger because I love Bacon and Cheese. David prefers a plain Hamburger. Once the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger arrived I wished I had chosen that as it looked so yummy and I knew it would fill me up. I would have had a snack for the next day as I could have brought some of the Fries home.

David asked for the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger to be cooked Medium and it was just the right shade of pink. The Classic Bacon Cheeseburger arrived David checked to make sure there was no Tomatoes or Pickles on the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger and it was just the way David ordered it. They brought David Mustard out so he could put as much or as little as he wanted on his Hamburger which I liked.

The French Fries didn’t have any Seasoning on them like David asked. Although for me I prefer French Fries with Seasoning on them because that gives them a nice taste. Salt bothers David so he always ask restaurants to leave the salt off anything he orders. I ate a couple of David’s French Fries and they were cooked perfectly and wasn’t over done nor were they greasy.
