I’ m proud to share a new book with you which I received a PDF copy on in exchange for this review. The new book is like a comic book, and it’s called Are You Gonna Eat That?: The Essential Collection of They Can Talk Comics written by Author Jimmy Craig.
This morning Charlie and I were looking for something for Charlie to read in his Homeschool Reading Class. I knew Charlie was getting tired of the books we had. Charlie wasn’t wanting to read for his allotted time. To break things up I decided this morning we would read a Graphic Novel. Then I remembered I had a copy of They Can Talk.
Before Charlie came downstairs I began to flip through the book to see if I thought Charlie would actually read the story. Before I knew what was happening a hour had passed and I’d read almost the whole book. As well as marking pages and making notes from the book I wanted to share with Charlie.
By the time I closed the book I knew this would be the perfect book to get Charlie back into reading because like me Charlie loves all animals. It was fun seeing what they had to say. As well as looking at all of the illustrations. Once Charlie finished reading the book he went back through and even came up with more conversations the animals might have said illustrating and creating his own comic book in our Homeschool Reading and Art Class.
If you haven’t had the chance to read, They Can Talk you should as soon as possible because it was put a smile on your faces. This book is perfect for people of all ages and should be in all veterinarian offices and librarians for pet lovers to pick up and read. Although the book isn’t just for animal lovers but people who enjoy comic books as well.
Now, if you will excuse me, Charlie and I are off to see if we can find Jimmy Craig’s popular webcomic series “They Can Talk which we plan on watching this evening when David comes home from work.
