Ballroom Dancers

Charlie and I like to think we can dance although neither of us can. Unless you count the BOOTY SHAKING we do as a dance… As for David he says that isn’t dancing and neither is the moves Charlie learns from his friends. With us Homeschooling Charlie I found a website where we can learn Ballroom Dancing that I am going to try and get Charlie to visit with me.

Just don’t hold your breath because I don’t think Charlie will take Ballroom Dancing with me. If not I may ask David if he would like to learn these dances as he says he likes to dance although I haven’t ever seen him dance. Because I don’t know how to dance and never wanted to learn. Although as we get older dancing would give us something to do together.
Dancing would allow me to exercise in a new way and work off this weight I need to lose. We wouldn’t need to be outside in the Cold Air although if we wanted to get out of the house for a bit we could find a club to go practice our dance moves at. Although we couldn’t take Charlie with us so that might not be a good idea.

  1. We have watched the kids ballroom dance on tv. They put in a ton of hours practicing. Good form of exercise we well and looks fun to do.

  2. I come from a rather clumsy family, so we aren’t the best with dancing. My daughter is the best of us all so I can see her doing this. My son would just flop all over and ask if he could leave and play video games.

  3. My niece has been watching DWTS Juniors and has expressed an interest in ballroom dancing. She takes dance now but it focuses primarily on tap, ballet, etc. but I foresee she may be signing up for ballroom dancing lessons pretty soon.

  4. I took dance lessons as a child but didn’t stay with it because I didn’t like it. If something like this would have been available I likely would have stayed with it. This is so cool.

  5. That would be fun to do. I think my kiddo would love to do something like this just to get out some of that energy. I wonder if they have a place like that close to me.

  6. I think that’s really cool! I’ve always loved ballroom dance. If this had been around when I was a kid, I’d probably be on Dancing with the Stars right now (maybe…)

  7. I have two left feet, so unsure if I can do ballroom dancing. I’m amaze when I watch Dancing with the Stars how quickly they pick up dance routines.

  8. It is always nice to see those dance moves on the floor. Amazing how it looks so easy and natural, but if one tries it, it comes across as clumsy movements. But this is a great opportunity to start kids off early on.

  9. The only dance I can get my daughter to do is Zumba, but we haven’t tried ballroom dancing. I should put it on her radar and see what she thinks. Might be fun for her and her 14 year old friends to try?

  10. Ballroom dancing, a sport/art with class. BB remembers going to a class when she was in her early teens, wish these videos were around then. Wouldn’t have been so nervous if Babushka had known the steps.

  11. Those are such cute photos. I think ballroom dancing is amazing. I’d love it if my daughters were to take classes.

  12. I love watching dancing shows and there’s so much technique in ball room dancing. I would love to try one day.
