Christmas 2020 – Taste of Home

The other day my mother in law was going through her Cookbooks to pass down to Charlie Charlie is taking a Homeschool Cooking Class. As she was going through the cookbooks she came across Christmas 2020 – Taste of Home. Charlie picked the book up and said mom look at this old timey cookbook.

If your looking for a new and unusual Gift that will allow you to relieve a time past then you should check out Christmas 2020 – Taste of Home not only for yourself but the Cooks in your family.

As you check out our Christmas 2022 Gift Guide- Christmas 2020 – Taste of Home Cookbook you will find gifts for everyone in your family. Including our Furbabies. If I am missing a must have Gift this year leave me a comment and I will get it added lickety spilt.

Mind you 2020 isn’t that old but I guess it is when you were born in 2007. As we continued cleaning out Granny Sherrie’s shelves Charlie said I wonder what kind of food would they have eaten back then. By this time Granny Sherry and I are rolling on the floor.

The food then was no, different back then than it is today. Other than they might have used Lard or Crisco to cook in which everyone should remember. Or at least I remember that blue and white can of Crisco sitting on my grandmothers and my mother stove. Did your parents do this as well?

I sat down to look through the Cookbook and I found a recipe for Sangria which I can’t wait to make and serve at my next Girls Nite because there is no, need to wait until Christmas to prepare Sangria. Would you like to join me for a glass or two?

Granny Sherry was amazed that they included bonus content which offered tips we will be able to use at our Christmas Dinner. Including Snow Day Project: Make a Snowmen pin which Charlie can do in his Homeschool Art Class to give to our guests.

To set this cookbook apart from other Christmas or Holiday books they’ve included a checklist that starts a month before Christmas which goes right up to the day of Christmas. Keeping us organized at all times. Allowing us to prepare early and make sure we have everything we need.

I love how in the back of the cookbook is a place to write out our Holiday Menus, Holiday Memories, A place to make notes for next year. As well as a place to list people who came to the dinner. I wish I had knew about this cookbook back in 2020 as I would have filled it out and kept it to hand down to my children. So they could see who came to our dinners in the past that might not be here now like my parents.
