As you all know I joined the A to Z Blogging Challenge. We are on Day 3 and I chose to do a Theme.I picked Foods from A to Z and I have a Coconut Cream Pie I will be sharing with everyone.
In the meantime Charlie likes to be in the kitchen with me while I am cooking. So I made the coloring sheet below for Charlie and I have him looking up drinks that start with the Letter C we can fix to go with our Coconut Cream Pie.

CHAI TEA A strong black Indian tea infused with milk, sugar, and spices—commonly cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, peppercorn, clove and nutmeg (chocolate or licorice also can be used). In India the beverage is known as masala chai, or spiced tea: Masala is the Hindi word for spice, and chai is the Hindi word for tea. While chai is traditionally made from black tea, green tea chai and rooibos chai have become popular.

With our easy Chai Tea recipe, you can make coffee shop-quality Chai Tea at home and enjoy it anytime. We’ll show you step-by-step exactly how to make this recipe using a few ingredients: whole milk, black tea, and some spices you probably already have in your pantry.
Ingredients
- 8 cardamom seeds
- 8 cloves
- 4 black peppercorns
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 bags black tea (such as Darjeeling)
- 8 teaspoons sugar or more, to taste
How to Make Chai Tea
Step 1
Place the cardamom, cloves, and peppercorns in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a heavy skillet.
Step 2
Place the crushed spices in a medium saucepan, along with the cinnamon sticks, ginger, milk, and 2 cups water; bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add the tea bags, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes.Step 3
Strain into cups. To each cup, add 2 teaspoons sugar or more, to taste.
