Last night I was able to surprise David and Charlie with a night out at Cowboy Chicken for a media dinner. There is two Cowboy Chickens within 30 minutes of us in different directions. One near Hulen Mall which I wanted to go to. As well as one in Irving that David decided to go to. Which was fine with Charlie and I as it was a new area to check out.

Before we left the house I had pulled up directions so I would know where we were going. As well as looked through the menu and I knew what we all would want before we arrived. We drive up to Cowboy Chicken and Charlie says he likes the store front and my mom would have liked the Chicken on the door.

We walk into the restaurant and see the counter at front to order at. Before going up there Charlie and I find a booth and sit down. We go over the menu. David and Charlie pick out what they would like to eat. Before you ask me I was right on what they would order. We walked up to the counter and the waitress as Charlie calls her ask how she can help us.

Charlie lets her know he would like to the dinner plate with 4 Crispy Chicken Tenders with Ranch, Double French Fries and a Roll with a Dr. Pepper. David asked for the dinner plate with a Quarter White, Double Fries and a Roll with a Dr. Pepper as well. Along with Banana Pudding for desert. I choose the Brisket Dinner Plate with Twice Baked Potaters and Baked Mac & Cheese.

Next time will get the Brisket & Chicken Plate which would be enough for David and I to share. I had thought of trying the Mexican Rice but it says with Bold Flavors and I thought it might bother me. Or the Mexican Street Corn to see what it was. Ranchero Beans also sounded good but I thought they might be spicy. I like that they also have a Salad on the menu which is a great side with me being on a diet.

The drinks are self serve so David went to get his and Charlie’s drinks and a glass of water for me. Charlie and I had fun looking and discussing the decorations as well as the menu. I like knowing they bring our food out to us. Once it arrived we was asked to make sure everything was to our liking and it was.

Charlie began to eat his French Fries which was so good he didn’t even let me have one. What a mean son I have. David let me have one of his and I loved hos Crispy they were. The seasoning was spot on. The Chicken Tenders was big enough to make two meals for me. Charlie liked the seasoning a lot and can’t wait to order them again. David and I tried them as well and next time we come I want to get a Family Meal featuring Chicken For Four to take home for dinner on our movie night.

David sat down and tasted the Chicken which is a Rotisserie Chicken and he loved the taste and it was cooked perfectly. Charlie and David liked the Seasoning and they said its better than other Rotisserie Chicken we’ve had in the past. David liked the Roll a lot and even ate Charlie’s although Charlie did taste his and say it was good.

David tried the French Fries and let me know these would be his go to side when we come her for lunch or dinner. Crazy men they need to try different things like the Fired Okra. David let me know he liked the Banana Pudding and how they have Crumbled Cookies on the top of it. David can’t wait to try Jeanette’s Homemade Peach Cobbler the next time we come.

My Pulled Brisket was so good and I love having the Sauce on the side because there was enough for me to bring home for a Sandwich for lunch this afternoon. I tried the Twice Baked Potaters and they was like a Hash Brown Casserole. I liked the taste and can’t wait to get them again. The Mac & Cheese was so good and Cheesy. I went to the restroom and came back and Charlie had eaten it all. What can I say other than boys will be boys and thank the LORD he ate and now, I know what he likes and can order it in the future.

I hope you take the time to visit Cowboy Chicken and if you do we would like to go with you. In the future Charlie and I can’t wait to try out there Sandwiches. Make sure you sign up for the email club which I did and now, I have a Free Peach Cobbler which if I had know about last night I would have gotten it and brought it home for David.
