Cracker Barrel’s Décor

I’m excited to share a sneak peek and first look at the décor that will line our Fort Worth Alliance store’s walls. As you may know, every Cracker Barrel is filled with authentic memorabilia and décor that reflects our unique American culture. We work hard to create a culture of hospitality that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive to everyone who walks through our doors.

Each collection of décor that goes into a store is carefully planned and curated. It’s all genuine artifacts pulled from our Décor Warehouse, which houses approximately 100,000 pieces of Americana – no replicas – located at our HQ in Tennessee. We mock up the design of each new store’s decor at the Décor Warehouse and always tailor a few of our walls to be reflective of the local community, including its history and heritage. The description/photos you see below are of a mock store meant to represent the walls of our Fort Worth Alliance store.

The story of how this program got started is INCREDIBLY fascinating. Meet Larry Singleton, the man with the coolest job in America.

Fort Worth Custom Décor

The new Fort Worth Alliance Cracker Barrel has several unique items adorning a rodeo-themed wall that pay homage to the Fort Worth community and the state of Texas. Themed after the official state sport, this rodeo wall will include:

  • Guests will see authentic rodeo poster advertisements dating back to the 1930s like the Pageant Rodeo Parade poster and the Strawberry Roan Rodeo State Fair poster depicting a cowboy on a horse chasing a steer.
  • There is also an old saddle, a lasso, and horseshoes along with rancher horse equipment advertisements including one for Stock Saddles from Strecker Bros. Co.
  • “Cow Town” tin sign can be seen above another rodeo event ad. Fort Worth coined this nickname in 1917 when the Fort Worth Stockyards was at its peak serving as the “largest horse and mule market in the world.”

Some other unique items unique to the areas include:

  • Old Fort Worth, Texas postcards showing scenes of the downtown area.
  • A framed poster advertisement from First National Bank, the oldest national bank in Fort Worth with beginnings dating back to 1870.
  • A music wall featuring a shadowbox of instruments and most notably a framed record of “Leadbelly’s Legacy Volume 3” which includes the song “Fort Worth and Dallas Blues.”

Be watching for the official opening date soon….

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
