Disney Scratch Artist: Classic Disney & Pixar Movie Posters

I would like to share a new Art Book with you based on Disney Movies called Disney Scratch Artist: Classic Disney & Pixar Movie Posters which I received a copy of in exchange this review.

I’ve always loved the Disney characters and the movies they produce. I was so excited to receive my copy of Disney Scratch Artist: Classic Disney & Pixar Movie Posters because I knew I could use the Posters to decorate my Entertainment Wall I was going to set up. Or our classroom and even my office with.

Charlie and I sat down on the couch. I opened up the book and we went through the table of contents. Charlie was so excited to find Up and Toy Story posters in the book. While I couldn’t wait to see Dumbo and Snow White. David was excited to find out there was Lion King.

I love how they included a summary of each movie which I want to print out and place in a binder to use in our Homeschool Drama Class then later on I will frame them to hang up in our home. Charlie was excited to find out this is a Art book and that he would be able to color the posters reinstalling his love of Art.

I went to check on something on the blog and I saw Charlie go into his room and grab his sketch book. The next thing I knew Charlie was drawing not only the pictures from the book but other Disney Characters. Which was nice to see as he hadn’t wanted to do Art for the longest time.

Charlie enjoyed being able to use the Stylus inside the book to uncover the posters which David also liked using. Although if it was me I wanted to color the pictures and may try and do that later on. I did have to remind David to take his Wedding Ring off so it wouldn’t matter the poster.

We took the poster out of the book and laid it on a piece of cardboard that was bigger than the poster and once we finished coloring, we picked up the piece of cardboard and dropped the crumbs into the wastebasket keeping out art space clean at all times.

A few years ago, I turned to writing children’s books full-time and have written over 75 storybooks, chapter books, novelty books and apps for Disney Publishing, Studio Fun International and other publishers. In the late 1990s, I also co-authored a 10-book middle-grade series called Goners, a Sci-fi adventure/comedy series.

My early years were spent creating, building and touring Marionette and costumed-character stage shows for the family business, Scollon Productions. From there, I moved into media production and worked at Disney Educational Productions for 20 years producing over 200 videos and DVDs, many of them national award winners.
