Do Your Readers Ask You Questions?

Good morning as I was going through the prompts for this mornings post in the @UltimateBlogChallenge or #BlogBoost. I was stumped as it hasn’t happened to me yet. So here is what this mornings prompt is. Then I will tell you what I think.

Do people ask you questions via comments or by sending you emails? Does the same question come up over and over? Write a blog post today that answers the question(s) that keep coming up, over and over! You will be helping out people that have not yet asked the question by teaching them something they will probably need to know, and, the next time someone asks, you can direct them to your blog post!

As for me getting comments or emails asking me questions the answer is no. In fact I hardly ever get comments here on my blog. No, matter what I write about they do not leave comments. In fact most of the time I wonder if anyone even visits my blog.

If not that  is OKAY as I do not do this blog for the comments. I do it for myself and my family. As it allows me to share how I am felling or things we have done. Or items we have used.

So in the future Charlie can come back and look through the blog and see all the things we did with him. Or the items we used in our home. As well as learn how to run his own blog.

So my question for you today is “Do people ask you questions via comments or by sending you emails? Does the same question come up over and over?” If so have you answered this question and if so can you leave me a link to it so I can take a look at it.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

    1. That I always try and do and yes, you would think it would work although here so far it hasn’t. But I am not giving up just placing it in Gods hands and fully relying on him.

  1. I’m just starting out and I have gotten comments on my blog and readers through the UBC 🙂 I don’t yet get too many questions yet through my blog postings.

Sometimes, it does feel like you’re sending something into a void . . . but I think those are the days that it’s important to hold strong in whatever it is that you are trying to accomplish 🙂

    1. Yes, it is best to stay strong and on the days we find we want to through in the towel we need to find a friend to push us over the hump and that is what I am hopping will happen through this challenge. Have a Blessed day.

  2. Hi, Glenda.

Back when blogging was still new, comments were the blog community. On some blogs it still is. I really miss that part of blogging.

Your blog is a bit different but I’m sure if you ask questions (like in this post) or encourage people to comment (ask them within the post) people may just start commenting.

For me, I participate in two linkys – Blogger’s Pit Stop and Five Minute Fridays – both of which are where most of my comments come from.

When I was a crochet blogger, people asked questions all the time in comments and in emails. This was always a great way to write new blog posts and answer the question.

Another way you can get the “comment ball rolling” is by forming a support group. Get some blogging friends together (same type – review bloggers) and agree to share each other’s posts and comment on one another’s posts. The group is best kept at 10 people or less.

Blogelina.com has comment pods where she matches bloggers together based on niche. You might want to give her a try.

    1. I will look into Blogelina.com this morning and the comment pods as I think it wouldn’t only get comments but help keep me accountable and blogging on a regular basis. As for starting a community I never thought of that but will work on it this week and like you said keeping it small would be perfect for me. In fact I might start with just 5 bloggers so none of us get overwhelmed. Also I like joining Linkies and thank you for mentioning those 2 as I didn’t know about them and look forward to checking them out.

  3. I enjoy reading your blog and leaving comments! I too basically write my blog because I love to write, whether it be my helpful money saving tips, recipes or bragging about my grandchildren. I do get a few questions in my comments from time to time but I also post on FB every now and than and ask people if they have any questions or topics they are interested in my writing about. I get a few good blog ideas that way! Hi to Charlie! 🙂

    1. Good morning from Charlie to you and he says to let you know he is honored that you come here to see what we write about. I hadn’t thought about posting on Facebook but will try that as well. As I always try and ask a question in my blog post as well. Have a Blessed day and thank you for always being so kind to Charlie and I.
