EasyRead Time Teacher Children’s Past & To Wrist Watch

Charlie has been asking for a watch for a while. So the other day David’s mom let me know she was going to Walmart and Charlie had mentioned he wanted a watch. Sherry thought she would pick one up for him. Granny Sherry didn’t realize I didn’t want Charlie to have a Digital clock as I wanted him to learn to read the watch.

She decided she wouldn’t purchase one for Charlie as she didn’t agree with me. Because he is Dyslexic and learning to read a watch would be too hard for him. I let her know that was fine but if David Jr. could learn to read a clock, Charlie could as well. So this morning when I was on Educents I found the EasyRead Time Teacher Red/Blue Past & To Watch – Navy watch I want to share with David. I think it is the perfect watch for Charlie.

Product Description

EasyRead Time Teacher Children’s Past & To Wrist Watch, 33 mm diameter, with a navy blue nylon strap. Simple 3-step teaching system to learn to tell the time in ‘minutes past’ and ‘minutes to’ the hour.

This Rainbow Past & To Wrist Watch is an ideal first watch to help your child learn to tell the time.  Its transparent design and simple 3-step teaching system make it very easy for children to learn to read the time regarding ‘minutes past’ and ‘minutes to’ the hour.  Teach your child the three steps, and they will quickly master this essential life skill, and gain confidence and pride in their achievement!

The 3-step teaching system:  easy to learn and remember.  Step 1:  Read the number at the end of the longhand.  Step 2:  Say “minutes to” if it’s pointing to the red side of the watch, or say “minutes past” if it’s pointing to the green side.  Step 3:  Read the number at the end of the shorthand.  Like this: 9…minutes to…2.  It’s that easy!
