First Day of School

Monday morning August 19th is Charlie’s first day of school. He will be riding the bus back and forth to school. Even though the bus picks Charlie up right behind our home and drops him off there. I didn’t want Charlie to ride the bus.

It wasn’t so bad when his best friend Aiden was right down the street but now that he has moved Charlie riding the bus scares me. I know Charlie should be safe but I am worried and not only worried but terrified.

I am telling you if I could ride the bus with Charlie to school every day I would. Even though all children have to grow up and we have to cut the apron strings I am not ready to.

David is also a little scared even though he will not admit it because he doesn’t want to stress me out even more. After a lot of discussion we will be purchasing phone for Charlie to take to school with him.

Charlie has to keep it in his back pack at all times but if something happens Charlie will be able to reach us at any time. Even though I didn’t think children need phones I do feel better knowing we will be purchasing one for Charlie.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
