First Snow

This is a review for the children’s book First Snow written by Nancy Viau Illustrated by Taalitha Shipman I received a while back for a review. With Winter here soon I wanted to share First Snow with you. I don’t know about you but I would like to have enough Snow to make a Snowwomen in and to go Sledding. Would you like to go with me?

Charlie and I sat down together to read First Snow. Then we discussed what we had learned from the book. Which I will turn into Lesson Plan for Kindergarten for Lily and Payton and Middle School for Charlie.

I can include a lesson plan for Jason who is in 3nd grade. Even though First Snow is for younger children a parent can always adapt a book to fit any age and this is what I like to do. Would you like to help me create the Lesson Plans.

I wish you could see the cover of the book and how much fun the children are having I wish I could be outside in the Snow with them. Charlie feel in love with the Puppy in the book and would like to have one just like him.

Charlie and I were amazed to see the Igloo they had to go in and out of. Would you like to have a Igloo? The kids even made Snow Angels which I like to do. I just don’t like getting wet. How about you? The inside they came for Chocolate which I wish I had. How about you?

Preview:

Snowflakes falling! What a treat! Friends gather outside to celebrate the first snowfall of the season with snowball fights, sledding, building igloos, drinking hot chocolate, and making the most of a windy, wintry day. With rhyming text and cheerful illustrations, this is a charming celebration of the winter season.
