I would like to share a Christmas Book which you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 23: From Nicholas to Christmas Poehls by Kyle Poehls (Author) which I received a copy of in exchange for this review.
Last night David and Charlie were upstairs playing video games. I was sitting on the couch and there was nothing to watch on TV. I broke my hard and fast rule of no, Christmas movies or books until the day after Thanksgiving to read browse through From Nicholas, I love the red cover with gold and old fashioned curli q’s that makes the book look like a antique.
You could use the cover as a Scavenger Hunt and look for items hidden on the cover including a Christmas tree and snow globe. Which Charlie will be recreating in our Homeschool Art Class. Would you like to join us for art class and create your own sleigh or snow globe Charlie said? Charlie even said for his homeschool cooking class we can make Cookies in these shapes. We just need to know what flavor of Cookies you would like.
I opened the book up to begin reading and I was captivated with the illustration of the barn I would like to have. The book reminds me of a poetry book and I loved the illustrations which I can’t wait to show Charlie and to see him recreate them in his Art Class. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out From Nicholas to Christmas Poehls I hope you do as soon as possible because it should be in everyone’s home to be read Christmas Eve and being a chapter book you could read a chapter a day up until Christmas.
