I was cleaning out the closet we stored some of Charlie’s things when he was little. I found Paulie the Police Care from the TV Show Heros of the City. Charlie and I watched this show almost every day with his friends.

If you’re looking for a preschool show that mixes adventure, kindness, and simple life lessons, I hope you will check out Heroes of the City with your children because this is a fun choice for young children who love emergency vehiccles.
The series follows rescue vehicles like Paulie Police Car and Fiona Fire Engine as they help the citizens of the city solve problems, stay safe, and work together. The show focuses heavily on friendship, teamwork, sharing, and helping others. Yes, we also had the Firetruck and because she was a girl I always got to play with her.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to watch the show one of best things about the series is the creators made it easy is for preschoolers to follow the story without becoming bored.
The episodes are short, colorful, and full of positive messages without feeling overly complicated. Kids who love police cars, fire trucks, rescue vehicles, and city adventures will probably become attached to the characters very quickly. This made Heros of the City the perfect addition to our #Homeschool Lessons.
The animation style is bright and cheerful, and the stories are written in a way that encourages kindness and cooperation instead of conflict. Parents may also appreciate that the show keeps the tone calm compared to many louder children’s cartoons.
For families with younger kids, especially toddlers and preschoolers, this is a wholesome series that teaches good values while still being entertaining. As a adult David and I enjoyed the show just as much as Charlie and his friends did.
Review: Paulie Police Car
For my family Paulie Police Car was one of the standout characters in the show because he represents what many young children see as a real hero — someone who helps others, stays calm, and protects the community.
Paulie is brave without being scary, and he handles problems with patience and kindness. Instead of simply chasing “bad guys,” he spends much of the series helping friends, solving everyday emergencies, and encouraging teamwork. That makes Paulie the Police Car a positive role model for preschool viewers.
For kids who love police cars, Paulie is especially appealing because he combines excitement with gentle storytelling. He’s dependable, caring, and always willing to help someone in trouble. His friendship with the other city heroes also shows children how important cooperation and compassion can be.
Parents looking for character-driven shows with positive messages will probably appreciate Paulie’s respectful and helpful personality. I hope you take the time to share Heroes of the City and Paulie and Fiona with your children.
