The other day when David found out he was going to be off he worked on his Honey-Do List vs Lunch Break Reality (David Said “No Jobs, Just Lunch & a Movie” 😂). LOL Because even when there is no, jobs outside the house there is always something that needs done in our home. Is your house this way as well?
I wanted to remind you some days the honey-do list is loud. Other days… it gets ignored completely. Today was one of those “let’s just not” kind of days. All David did was veg out in the man-cave ie dining room while I worked.
David did look at the list of honey-do jobs and then David looked at the day and decided the only thing getting done was lunch and a movie. No errands. No projects. No fixing, building, or organizing. Just a full pause button on responsibility.
Honestly? That day turned into one of those unexpectedly good reset days. We grabbed lunch, sat down, and had one of those conversations where nothing is urgent and everything feels a little lighter. The kind of break you don’t plan but end up needing anyway.
Then came the movie choice. Let’s just say David picked something he swears is a “classic,” and I’m still processing that we ended up watching it. He called it “research.” I called it a break from reality. LOL Can you guess what we watched and why?
Meanwhile, the honey-do list is still sitting there like it never got the memo. And the dogs? Fully supportive of the decision to do absolutely nothing productive. Some days are for checking things off. Some days are for laughing at the list and choosing peace instead. “Honestly, it reminded me a little of our recent date night trip when we accidentally turned errands into actual quality time.”
Thank you,
