I attended #BlogElevated!! this weekend!!

Blog Elevated

Yes, you heard me right. This last weekend I was able to attend my first blogging conference ever and  was through #BlogElevated and it was fantabulous. If you are a Blogger and have not attended a conference yet  please do. You will learn things that will make your head spin.  In a good way. Let me tell you even if your just thinking of blogging #BlogElevated conference is the place to be. As there was so many individuals there that haven’t even started a blog but went ahead and invested the time and now they are ready to hit the blogging world. So be watching for lots of new blogs to pop up. If you see one Please send them a message and welcome them to the Blogging world as it will help. As I remember how nervous I was when I started out.

Did you know that you are not just a BLOGGER but a BUSINESS? I never thought of it that way but after attending the conference I now know I am a business and I have a value. So as I move forward I plan on making lots of changes and turning this blog into a business that anyone would be proud to call there own.

I will stop worrying about Stats and the items I get to review or not review and focus on content and what makes me happy. I will start a editorial calendar and use it. As well as make business hours so it stops taking away from my family. Because even as business owners we are a mom and children grow up to fast. So since I do not want to miss any of Charlies growing up I have to set boundaries.

I do not have to take every job that comes along as it is okay to say “NO” yes, you heard me it is “OKAY” to say “NO”. I will have to tattoo that on my hand I am sure so I remember it as I hate saying no and letting people down but I am me and a mom and I can only do so much. So as of know it is okay to say “NO”!!

I will be researching what subjects get comments on and which ones do not and stop writing them. As well as working on my Social Sites so they are more user friendly and has  the type of information my readers would want to find on them. Heck I may even take a photography course as pictures are pivotal to a blogger and the ones I take turn out horribly a lot of the time. But I know I can fix it thanks to #BlogElevated.

I also learned it is OK to outsource and find someone to help you which for me is Elle Emme from LM Solutions. Do you use someone and if so who? What do you have the do for you? Does it help or not? As I could not survive without Elle and it is why I almost shut the blog down last year. But that will not happen again as I am a “BUSINESS OWNER” and I am here to stay. Hear me Roar I am women, blogger, business owner and so much more. Thanks to #BlogElevated!!!

  1. Reading this post really made me smile. I can feel the excitement in every word. I went to my first blogging conference last year in October. It was sponsored by The SITS Girls and it was called Bloggy Bootcamp. You are so right about making your head spin and all the priceless things you will take away from it to help you as a blogger. I’m not ready to move to the business side, but my confidence as a blogger has grown. Thanks for sharing.
