Lone Star Park

Had you heard Lone Star Park, is bringing out Bello Nock, whose iconic tall orange hair, over-sized tuxedo and fearless approach to daredevilry recently seen on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, As soon as I found out he would attempt to shoot himself from a cannon over a helicopter with its blades rotating. This feat hasn’t been attempted since Bello performed live on America’s favorite reality talent show.

I couldn’t wait to let both Charlie and David know we would be attending this event as they would watch the show each week to see what Bello would do and each week they were amazed and couldn’t stop talking about it over and over and over. Once David found out he immediately went to call his boss which surprised me as I thought with him being sick the week before he wouldn’t want to take off and Charlie and I would go on our own.

Once I found out David was going with us I was so excited as it allowed us to spend time as a family seeing something we hadn’t seen before. As well as allowing me to share things I knew about the Venue as I had been out in the past but neither David or Charlie had. Also, I was able to remind them that my family races horses on this track.

Charlie asked me what all there would be for him to do and I let him know there would be lunch and Bounce House and a Petting Zoo we could visit between the races. Before I knew it Charlie was dressed and ready to head out which showed me he was excited to attend the event.

Once we arrived, I was amazed at how easy it was to find the Valet Parking and to get our tickets. Everyone was so friendly and helped us get into the correct line to get inside. Once we walked in, there was a lady at the Elevator directing us to where we would be going. Once we got off the elevator and walked down the hall, we didn’t have any trouble finding the Suite assigned to use during the day.

The hostess who was to wait on us throughout the day went above and beyond anything I expected. She was able to make any drink anyone asked for. I loved the Appetizers they had sat out as David hadn’t eaten all that day and he was able to snack while we waited for lunch prepared and we were able to enter the Buffet line.

I was so excited to find out they had a Jockey for us to meet along with being able to go to the Winners Circle. David, he was excited to know someone was going to come up and teach him to gamble. As we waited, I liked being able to go out onto the Balcony and see everything from there instead of having to go downstairs and sit out in the heat.

Once lunch was prepared my family was surprised at the variety of foods they were serving. Including Nachos which Charlie enjoyed and was so happy to find. For me, I was able to remain on my diet as they had a Salad Bar. Although I did sneak a piece of cake as they looked so good, I couldn’t pass them up.

Then they brought Bello Nock in for us to meet and I wish you had seen the expression on Charlie’s face as he was so surprised and excited to receive one of his dolls. Charlie was also excited that he took the time to answer questions and to autograph Charlies Racing Track for him. I loved how kind and down to earth he was and how he went out of his way to answer everyone’s questions.

Once the races were over, we were able to watch him being shot from the Cannon, and I stayed in the Suite while David and Charlie went downstairs and they were close enough that they said they could almost touch the Canyon. I have a lot of fun facts  I can share with you about Bello although I am not going to in this article if you want to know what they are you must ask me.

Although there is one tidbit I would like to share with you, and that is Lone Star Park is family friendly, and as you drive in, you need to stop at the Visitors Center and check out the store inside there as well as take the time to visit the Skatepark. Which we didn’t do so we are planning on returning on a Sunday when they do Family Day.
