As we begin to sit down for brunch or lunch whatever you like to call it I wanted to share a đź Mile Marker Grace: Easter Noon Prayer for Moms Who Need a Midday Reset. Which I don’t know about you but is something I can use more than you know.
Easter morning is behind usâ the baskets and yes, even though I have teens Charlie still likes his Easter basket and if truth is none, I like making them. The breakfast, the church clothes, the rushing, the reminders, the âWhere are your shoes?â moments. And now youâve hit the midday mile marker, where the excitement starts to fade and the exhaustion begins to creep in.
This is the moment when moms often feel the weight of the day settle on their shoulders. The cooking. The hosting. The family dynamics. The emotions. The expectations.
And yet, youâre still here â showing up with love.
This prayer is for the midday mom, the one who needs a breath, a pause, a moment of grace before the rest of the day unfolds.
đ Easter Noon Prayer (Mile Marker Grace Series)
Lord,
Just because Easter dinner and the hunt is over that doesn’t mean the day will not grow busier, help me slow down. Let this midday moment be a reset â a chance to breathe, to refocus, and to remember why today matters.
Bless the food we prepared, the conversations we had, and the people who gathered â even the ones who make holidays⌠interesting. Bless the children who are excited, overstimulated, or overtired. Bless the adults who are helpful, and the ones who are⌠not. Bless the home that holds us all. As well as the animals who had to deal with everyone.
Give me patience when plans shift. Give me compassion for myself when I feel overwhelmed. Give me peace in my heart as we move through the rest of this day none as Easter.
Help me release the pressure to make everything perfect. Help me embrace the joy hidden inside the chaos. Help me remember that Easter is about resurrection, renewal, and hope â not spotless kitchens or flawless meals.
Walk with me through the afternoon, Lord. I need Your strength, Your calm, and Your grace.
Amen.
đ¸ Why the Midday Prayer Matters
By noon on Easter, most moms are running on fumes. Youâve already:
- Cleaned up breakfast
- Managed kidsâ sugar highs
- Navigated family expectations
- Tried to keep the peace
- Started prepping dinner
- Answered a dozen questions
- Broken up arguments
- And maybe even squeezed in church
Noon is the moment when the emotional load hits hardest.
This prayer gives moms permission to pause â to breathe â to remember that they are not carrying this Easter alone.
