Moe’s Cafe

David and I were looking for our Stove the other day. We went to Fort Worth close to Ridgemar Mills Mall. On the way home we came through Riveroaks, Texas.

We stopped at a Home Store to check there prices. David said he was Hungry as we were walking to the car. Charlie asked me if I wanted to go to Pancho’s which was right up the street.

I told David I didn’t want to because we didn’t have Charlie with us. David reminded me Moe’s Cafe Home Cooking. We had eaten here in the past but it had been a while ago.

We walked in and I saw a special for a Steak but I wanted to look at the sign with the specials before I decided on what I would like to have. I could chose between Lunch and Dinner.

If you want to know the truth when David and I walked past the Display case David said he would like to have a piece of Pie as they all looked so good. I almost ordered the Cinnamon Roll.

Which wasn’t on my diet. We went on to our table and the waitress took our drink order. I went to read the specials on the board. David looked through the Menu.

I decided I wanted to have Smothered Steak, Masked Potato and Beets. I asked for the Gravy on the side but they put the Grave on my Potatoes which was fine.

The Mashed Potatoes was real and not Instant. They were creamy and had just enough seasonings to make them tasty. I would order them again. But not the Beets which had a seasoning inside I didn’t care for.

I had a Roll as well which you can’t see because I eat it in a hurry because it was so good and nice and warm. The butter melted on my Roll. I wish I had two Rolls. But I couldn’t because it isn’t on my diet.

David ordered the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. The Chicken Fried Steak was so tender and it was real meat. Both David and I liked the Gravy a lot and I can’t wait to order the Chicken Fried Steak for myself.

The Hash browns were tasty and cooked the way David likes them. I would have put some of that wonderful Gravy on my Hash Browns. David also had White Toast which was cooked to perfection.
