Food Holidays

I’ve been sleeping on the job to let October 14th go by without letting you know it was National Dessert Day because I don’t know what you think but in my home dessert day is very important to me. Although, as you know I’m on a diet and can’t have very many desserts but once in a while it’s okay to splurge, isn’t it?

National Dessert Day – October 14 is a sweet celebration dedicated to indulging in your favorite treats—from cakes and cookies to pies, pastries, and ice cream. It’s a day to honor the grand finale of every meal and the joy desserts bring to our lives.

🍩 A Sweet Slice of History

While the exact origins of National Dessert Day are unclear, the tradition of dessert dates back to ancient times when people enjoyed simple natural sweets like fruits and honey. Over centuries, desserts evolved into the elaborate confections we know today.

So whether you’re baking a family recipe or grabbing a treat from your favorite shop, October 14 is the perfect excuse to satisfy your sweet tooth. What’s your go-to dessert for celebrating?

What would you like for dessert today? I think instead of making something I will just get Hostess Suzy Q’s Chocolate Cake David got me at Walmart and a glass of Milk. Would you like to have Hostess Suzy Q’s Chocolate Cake with me, or I can look and see what else David has brought home for snacks.

Thank you,
