I wish we had been able to come out and to watch them carve Pumpkins under water but we went on Sunday. If David can get off on a day when there hosting there Underwater Pumpkin Carve-Off I would like to return and not only bring Charlie but my niece Lily and our nephew Jason.

Sunday afternoon we were able to get Aiden and Charlie and bring them to lunch at Grapevine Mills Mall. Then we went to Sea Life Grapevine for a Family Day.

I was so excited to spend time with the boys and be able to do something exciting and fun. With David being out of work we’ve been stressed and needed a way to relax.

I was amazed as we walked inside Sea Life Aquarium Grapevine and were able to pick out a Turtle and chose a name. I’m telling you being here was like God had brought us because I was able to pick out a name for my Turtle Susie. That was my daughter Suzzane’s nickname.

Throughout our time here at Sea Life Aquarium Grapevine I could hear Suzzie whispering to me telling me to look here or tere. I was able to see David smile for the first time in days and I was amazed to see David reading the Facts on the wall and reminding me if we had been homeschooling we could have used those facts in our classroom.

I loved being able to just lean against the wall and watch the Fish swim around me. I didn’t have to worry about where Charlie and Aiden were because they were safe by themselves.

I was amazed to find out there was a second floor and the kids could go in Caves and under the displays and stand up making it look like they was inside the Aquarium.

David let me know he would like to swim with a Ray. I can’t wait to purchase a ticket for David for Christmas along with one for Charlie to swim with the Sea Turtles.

Before you ask me what I would like to swim with I just want to watch the guys and see how happy these events make them. In fact I might stay home and let them come back together for a Guys Night which they need.

I was amazed to find out Sea Life Grapevine has a Sea Turtle Rescue Center and it was fun seeing the Turtles they had rescued. We were so glad they weren’t working on any Turtles while we were here because we don’t want any turtles to be hurt.

Charlie reminded me he would like to be a Vet one day and he said he wouldn’t mind coming to work at Sea Life Aquarium in Grapevine so he could help the Sea Turtles out.

SEA TURTLE RESCUE CENTER

The new permanent exhibit lets guests of all ages learn about the threats turtles face in the wild and experience first-hand the process of successfully rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sea turtles.

Upon entry, guests will become a bonafide turtle rescuer as they collect a mock turtle from the beach, name and weigh their patient, then begin a virtual rehabilitation journey.

After using an x-ray machine to diagnose and remedy injuries, guests nurse their turtle back to health at the feeding and hydration station then release them back into the wild.

In addition to observing non-releasable sea turtles in a display tank, guests can also view aquarists through a glass window working with real injured patients in the aquarium’s new rehabilitation facility and hospital.

The Grapevine aquarium is the first SEA LIFE in the U.S. to be permitted to rehabilitate sick and injured sea turtles and release them back into the wild through partnerships with Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and other Texas coast sea turtle hospitals.

Charlie is afraid of heights and here lately I’ve been having a lot of Panic Attacks and will not try certain things. Charlie did go out on the Observation Dock which was nice to see.

Before you ask no, I didn’t but I would like to try and see if I can get on the Deck the next time we come out and Aiden let me know he would like to as well.

Above are Turtles Charlie and I found in the Gift Shop which I would like to come back and get Charlie one for Halloween and one for Christmas. Along with the necklace I found with his name on it.
