Tellinga

Charlie is always creating stories and Art work that I sit aside and it ends up being thrown away. To keep this from happening and to make school more fun I am going to use Tellinga for Charlie to create a story written by him for my niece and nephew for Valentines Day.

For me I am going to sit down and share my daughters story and turn have her story turned into a book Charlie will have and be able to share with his children.

As were working in our Genealogy class Charlie can even turn the items we learn about our families into books for his grandmother and my sister. Or as a book for himself allowing Charlie to get physical mail which he always wants to get but doesn’t.

Because everyone would rather send a Text Message instead of sending letters or even calling each other on the phone. For me this is sad because Letter writing is being phased out which I hate.

What:  My name is Alex Kurkowski, and I am a recent MBA graduate from Rice University and the Founder of Tellinga.  Tellinga illustrates personalized stories as unique gifts and sends them through traditional mail.

It can be fun, dramatic, thoughtful… anything! Your mailbox isn’t dead – it’s more alive than ever!  We have been interviewed and featured on National Public Radio (NPR)AP News, and CBS, and would love to share our story with you.

Why:  We live in such a digital world these days. Were always emailing, text messaging, and following each other’s social media accounts. Some things, such as traditional mail (mailbox) have been forgotten.

Tellinga offers a way to tap back into the tangible and traditional by providing a product that you can touch and feel on a deeper level rather than staring at another screen.  This the anti-social media company!

Who: Tellinga currently employs 26 collegiate artists across the nation.  Young and struggling artists across the US now have a new way to express themselves and give back to the community.

Young artists still attending or graduating from college usually have piles of debt and are looking for a path to personal and economic prosperity.  Tellinga is a story about a young start-up that is giving collegiate artists a way to express themselves and demonstrate their hard-earned art degrees.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. First, select your story length, rating, and genre
  2. Next, upload a photo and add a description of your desired story (reminisce a memory or create a brand new story)
  3. After receiving your request, our team of professional artists will start working on your story
  4. A few days later, the designated recipient of the story will start receiving unique hand-drawn images every other day in their mailbox until the package ends,

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
