Mother’s Day has passed and right around the corner is Mother’s Day. I would like to welcome you to this year’s Father’s Day Gift Guide which has changed over the years as Charlie gets older. This year our Guide includes The Dad Life Upgrade Series Is Coming to TheMommiesReviews.com because the boys are older and Charlie has a father n law now.
Come join me as Father’s Day looks different in every family.
Some dads love grilling and tools or at least David does. Some dads are powered by coffee and late-night pizza runs. David is fueled by Energy drinks. Some dads spend their evenings gaming with their kids, walking the dogs, fixing things around the house, or planning their next backyard project one step at a time.
Around here, it is a little bit of all of that.
This year at TheMommiesReviews.com, we are excited to officially launch The Dad Life Upgrade Series — a Father’s Day lifestyle series built around real family life, everyday routines, and the things dads actually use and enjoy.
Our family includes David, our boys C (19) and B (20), and Charlie’s son to be Father-in-Law Scott and David’s dad David Sr and my brother Gerald and of our dogs, Bear and Pheobie who are part of almost everything we do.
Over the next several weeks, we will be sharing:
From movie nights and gaming sessions to gardening, coffee runs, pizza nights, snacks in the truck, and evening walks with the dogs, our lives are not picture-perfect — but they are real, and that is exactly what this series is about.
- Father’s Day gift ideas
- snack and subscription box favorites
- coffee and energy drink finds
- grooming and self-care products
- cooking, grilling, and spice features
- gaming and family connection content
- dog dad life and outdoor routines
- practical products for everyday family living
One thing we love about this series is that it reflects the things our family already enjoys together.
Gaming has always been part of our family life. From building cars together in games to laughing over wrestling character creations, it has become a way for us to spend time together, connect, and create memories. We have even made friendships through gaming that became extended family over the years.
We are also huge fans of simple routines that bring people together — coffee in the mornings, popcorn and pizza during movie nights, gardening outside, walking the dogs, or trying new products together as a family.
And yes, grooming products are absolutely part of the mix too. David and the boys have already helped us build one of our favorite ongoing content collections featuring men’s grooming products and self-care favorites. You can check out our Old Spice features and reviews here:
As this series continues, we will also be sharing practical “Dad Life Upgrades” including tools, outdoor gear, snacks, organization ideas, family gaming inspiration, and wishlist items we hope to work toward in the future.
Most importantly, we want this series to feel honest.
Not every family has a giant budget.
Not every home looks perfect.
Not every Father’s Day gift has to be expensive to matter.
Sometimes the best moments happen over coffee, pizza, popcorn, video games, dog walks, backyard conversations, or simply spending time together after a long day.
We are excited to share this Father’s Day season with you and cannot wait to show you what we have been working on behind the scenes.
Welcome to The Dad Life Upgrade Series here at TheMommiesReviews.com.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
