I would like to share a new children’s book with you The Knight Snacker by Valeria Wicker (Author) I received a physical copy of in exchange for this review.

I must tell you the title of this book fits Charlie and I to a t. Both of us stay up all night and end up eating foods we shouldn’t. No, matter how many rules I make for myself I end up breaking them which defeats trying to lose weight. I thought reading The Knight Snacker might help me come to terms with why we do the things we do.

The Knight Snacker would be a fun book to read during Halloween because there is unknows on the way to the kitchen. Sir Julian is eager for dinner and he spots his mom’s recipe for Fusion Fondue. Would you like some because Charlie and I think we will pass on this dish. The meal is supposed to be healthy but it looks and smells deadly like dragon’s ooze.

Julian pretends to eat the meal which I used to do as child when I didn’t like what my parents made and I wouldn’t be surprised if Charlie hasn’t done the same thing. Then Julian goes to do his chores but his stomach is growling because he was starving. He decides to go on a quest into the castle for a snack.

Sir Juian gets up and grabs his cloak and he confronts the dark. He goes to the light switch and not pay attention to the sounds he hears. He decides he needs to take someone with him but first he must tinkle. But he thought something was in the bathroom ready to gobble him up. Do you think that’s true?

Sir Julian was to hungry to deal with a potty monster With a glare he stopped the potty monster. Sir Julian goes to the hallways with the monster who was trying to get him We can hear Sr Julian gasping for air like he had been running for hours on end Snatch someone catches Sr. Julian. He composes himself.

He continues his quest sneaking toward the kitchen. Oh, no there is a ghostly figure. There was nothing to be scared of it was only his reflection. His mind is playing tricks on him and he is running out of bravery. But I am not going to tell you what happens next because I want you to pick up your own copy of The Knight Snacker to find out what happened.

The Knight Snacker is the perfect storybook for younger children as well as older children and even adults will enjoy the storyline and the illustrations. In Charlie’s Homeschool Cooking Class Charlie and I are going to try and figure out what is inside Fusion Fondue. Would you like to help us prepare this dish for dinner this evening?
