A sustainable, eco-friendly and state-of-the-art, distillery is located in Minden, Nevada where all the grains used in their spirits are grown at their nearby Bently Ranch. Despite their innovation, a deep-rooted sense of tradition is intricately woven into their craft.

A trip to the Bently Heritage Estate Distillery is an informative and incredibly unique combination of pleasure, education, and exploration into the world of spirits. They are an estate distillery, which is rare, and means that 85% of agricultural raw material must come from land controlled or owned by the distillery.

They grow, harvest, process, malt, ferment, distill, and bottle everything on site and at their nearby Bently RanchProprietor and Proprietess Christopher and Camille Bently, who created the Bently Heritage Estate Distillery are well-known entrepreneurs and philanthropists, and deep lovers of Whisky.

This love and passion led them to their driving force behind the distillery – to put American single malt whisky on the world map.

This is definitely a must-see place on any travelers list, and is located near Reno-Tahoe. The distillery focuses on sustainability and was built to LEED Gold standards.

A trip with his wife Camille to Scotland to rekindle his love for the land and single malt whisky, led him to study the distilleries of yesteryear. Inspired by his trip, Christopher considered his grandest idea yet – to open a distillery in America that would put American Single Malt Whisky on the map.

Bently Heritage opened on February 9th 2019, and tradition and innovation began. Although other craft distillers grow their grains, the practice is still rare, with fewer than 15 percent of U.S. craft houses practicing grain-to-glass distilling.

The Bentlys, avid environmentalists, are proud of the quality of their distillery. Their nearby Bently Ranch in Carson Valley, which raises grass-fed beef and sustainable grains, produces every grain they utilize for their spirits, all giving their products a unique and controllable taste.

Bently Heritage’s Flour Mill Building is used to create single the single-malt whisky currently in the aging process. Pot stills handmade by Forsyth, the Scottish Company that also creates stills for Woodford Reserve bourbon, Yamazaki Japanese whisky, and other leading spirits are being used to create the whisky. The Creamery building also distills vodka and gin from German pot stills. Learn more about Christopher and Camille Bently.

Christopher Bently states, “We are creating a paradigm shift in the spirits industry. We are authentic, quality, and premium spirits. We are Bently Heritage Estate Distillery.

That is unique, as estate distilleries are common in the wine world, but not in the spirits world. We are one of a handful in the spirits business. We are working so our consumers can learn and know that we genuinely create our spirits because we know that is what our customers want.”

This past October, they released two new spirits: Source One Single Estate Vodka, Wheat & Oat Blend and Juniper Grove Atrium GinLucas Huff, their in-house Artisan Mixologist, and Director of Events are in the throes of creating a variety of unique cocktails with these two new spirits and their current spirits.

About Bently Heritage Estate Distillery (BentlyHeritage.com)

Headquartered in Minden, Nevada, owners, Christopher and Camille Bently opened the Bently Heritage Estate Distillery in February 2019. We grow, harvest, process, malt, ferment, distill and bottle everything on-site.

That means we’re not just distilling spirits, but also cultivating grains that thrive in a high desert climate to match the taste profile we envision. One hundred percent of the grain we use in our products comes from our sister company, Bently Ranch.

We strive to elevate the passion that connoisseurs have for spirits, creating an experience that will be treasured by those who truly understand our mission to explore the abundance that nature offers and innovate on traditional techniques.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
