The Maw of Mayhem is part of a series and the first book I’ve read by this Author but it will not be the last book I read. Charlie read some of the book with me but Charlie wanted me to let you know there is romance in the story which is icky because it isn’t cool to like girls Charlie said but as he gets older we all know that will change.

For me personally The Maw of Mayhem was a bit confusing and at times I felt like something was missing when it came to the biker lingo and the characters backgrounds. Keeping all the character straight was a small struggle at times but overall, I plan on reading the rest of the series with my family and I hope you take the time to share this novel as well.

The shapeshifter aspect had me pausing until I understood what was happening when the book kept referring to cats. The Author has managed to add mystery and mayhem to the story with twists and turns that will keep you asking what is happening and why. It’s a fantasy or sc-fi book for adults.

Grim and his club are fighting for survival ,and trying to keep it all together. They have outside forces that are not helping.
They are worried about an old member causing trouble, and they are being attacked from the inside out when they go for a ride to another city, Grim meets his mate, but neither of them are ready for the fireworks.

About the book:

Cats don’t always land on their feet…

Grimdarke James has got problems. As Vice Prez of the Maw of Mayhem MC, he needs to keep his shit together, but between the constant threat of his inner cat going feral, and Nikki, one of the motorcycle club’s mollys, blackmailing him, it’s a fine line some days.

Then when an arms deal goes bad, everything goes to hell with it. All fingers point to an old club enemy, a man Grim has reason to both fear and loathe, but the facts don’t add up, and everyone is a suspect… including Grim. Faced with the constant threat of Nikki revealing his past and his need to prove himself to the MC, the fragile peace he’s made with his cat is threatened.

Out of options and running out of time, Grim sets a bold plan into motion, and the consequences are far more dire than he could have imagined…

About the author: AK Nevermore (Author)

AK Nevermore enjoys operating heavy machinery, freebases coffee, and gives up sarcasm for Lent every year. A Jane-of-all-trades, she’s a certified chef, restores antiques, and dabbles in beekeeping when she’s not reading voraciously or running down the dream in her beat-up camo Chucks.

Unable to ignore the voices in her head, and unwilling to become medicated, she writes Science Fiction and Fantasy full time.

She pays the bills editing, wielding a wicked hot pink pen and writing a column on SFF. She also belongs to the Authors Guild, is a chapter treasurer for the RWA, teaches creative writing, and on the rare occasion, sleeps.

Thank you,
