šš„ Life is changing in my home faster than I can keep up with. I still have dreams that stem from when Charlie was a little boy. One of those dreams was taking Charlie to Monster Jam so we could create Memories & fulfill one of my Dreams and a Bucket List item.
Finances never aligned so we could take Charlie but even though Charlie is grown that doesn’t mean the dream has died. One day we are going to go to the Monster Truck show so we can see our favorite trucks in person.
The Monster Trucks We Grew Up Loving (And Still Do!)
Monster Jam Memories & Dreams: The Trucks That Stole Our Hearts
Some families bond over sports and some families bond over movies. But some families ā like ours ā bond over Monster Trucks.
The roar of the engine. The dirt flying. The lights. The jumps. The crashes. The excitement that makes kids and adults feel the same age for a moment.
Monster Jam wasnāt just a show ā it was a dream.
And for our family, it still is.
š¶š„ Charlieās Favorite: The Dalmatian Monster Truck– The Dalmatian Dog Truck that had spots. Ears. Attitude and joy. The Dalmatian truck is pure personality, and C lights up every time he sees it. Itās the perfect mix of fun, speed, and childhood magic.
šā” My Favorite: Grave Digger– The legend. The icon. The truck that makes the whole arena shake. Green flames. Black body. A roar you feel in your chest Grave Digger isnāt just a truck ā itās a whole era of Monster Jam.
šØāš§ Davidās Monster Jam Story: David has been before. He loved it. He remembers the noise, the excitement, the energy. But life happens. Bills happen. Responsibilities happen.
š Monster Trucks + Retro Cars = Family Bonding
Monster Trucks ties into not only Charlie’s childhood but Suzzane’s my nephew and even y nieces and nephew as well as my sister and brother and David siblings as well with:
- Hot Wheels
- Driveāins
- Classic cars
- Muscle cars
- Childhood memories
- Family traditions
Monster Trucks are the modern extension of everything we loved growing up. Theyāre loud. Theyāre bold. Theyāre fun. Theyāre unforgettable. Just like the retro cars that shaped our childhood.
šļø Why Monster Jam Still Matters
Because it gives families:
- excitement
- bonding
- memories
- joy
- tradition
- something to look forward to
And for kids like C ā and dads like David ā itās a moment theyāll never forget.
š A Family Dream for the Future
One day soon, my family will be there:
- C cheering for Dalmatian
- Me cheering for Grave Digger
- David smiling because his family is together
- Popcorn in hand
- Hot dogs in foil
- The arena shaking
- Memories being made
And when that day comes, this post will be the beginning of the story sharing a story of dreams that began a long time ago but was fulfilled through hard work.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
