Tiny House Pioneer Hopes to Revolutionize Modular Home Design

Jamie Mackay, the tiny house pioneer known for Wheelhaus and Fireside Resort, is hoping to disrupt the real estate industry with his new luxe prefab home manufacturing company, Vurtical

Vurtical is offering affordable, yet truly high-end prefab homes. The company’s mantra is, “Less is more.” Less building materials, less square footage, and less waste.

Blending rustic and modern designs, Vurtical combines both the durability and quality craftsmanship of a log cabin with a modern focus on energy efficiency, innovative design, progressive space management.

Vurtical creates an amazing sense of size and space with unique floor plans on a smaller footprint. High ceilings, oversized windows and eight foot doors featured throughout all models make the homes feel larger. By utilizing more windows, the homes bring the outdoors in providing lots of natural light.

The company’s ability to build in a climate controlled environment, order materials in large quantities, minimize waste, and work 12 months a year without interruptions allows them to provide a superior cost per square foot comparably to on site construction.

Jamie says his goal is to, “tackle the housing shortage in the western United States by revolutionizing the modular home.”

Vurtical is based in Salt Lake City and will be the primary home manufacturer for the new adventure living community that Jamie is developing just outside of SLC, Benloch Ranch. Let me know if you would like to chat with Jamie

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
