Ultimate Blog Challenge April 2018 Day 1

Good morning, Happy Easter. I Pray you’re having a Blessed weekend. I would like to welcome you to Ultimate Blog Challenge April 2018 Day 1. For my family, I always try and enter this event as it encourages us to blog once a day for 30 days. For me, it is my fifth time to join the challenge. For others, it might be longer, or it might be there the first time.

No matter how long you have been blogging if you want to grow and learn from others, this new challenge will allow you to do that. As well as to make new friends and gain support. You will have visitors to your blog, and most of them will leave a comment. For me, this is a Godsend as I have been looking for ways to grow my blog and I know the Ultimate Blog Challenge will help me do this and so much more.

If this is your first time to visit my blog I am Glenda Cates a later in life mom. I reside in Dallas/ Fort Worth. All I do is work from home, and I am blessed to be able to do this as it allows me to Homeschool my son. Without my husband’s support, I wouldn’t be able to do what I love which is being a mommy first and foremost.

My blog began as Mommies Point of View, and I still think of it as Mommies Point of View although now it is called The Mommies Reviews. I have a broad niche and would say it is Parenting with Homeschool thrown in. Although I do host reviews and giveaways at times. My son and husband come and blog with me at times. I also showcase events in Dallas/ Fort Worth.

I am married to my High School Sweetheart David who I met when I was 16. We were apart for over 25 years when God brought David back into my life; we married on March 20th, 2006. If it hadn’t been for the Lord bringing David back into my life I do not know where I would be. As I was coping with the death of my daughter, my ex-husband walking out on me and trying to find a job and home with no, money at all.

David gets me a place to live and pays the bills until I can get on my feet. David and I move in together in November. We get married in May of 2006. Then in December of 2007, the Lord blesses us with our son Charlie. Which was all Gods will.

When I had Suzzane, I had a Cancer scare, and the doctor told me Suzzane would be the only child I could ever have. After Suzzane passed away I just went on with my life knowing I wouldn’t be a mom ever again.

The Lord had different plans for my life and God Blessed David and me with Charlie. Who was born on December 16th, 2007.  I am 52 raising a little boy, but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. Charlie is my life and my best friend always and forever.

Charlie will be 11 in December, and as I sit and look at him, I shake my head and wonder where all the time went. Charlie is in 4th grade, and as of now, we are Homeschooling him. I have no clue how long we will do this. It’s all in Gods hands and what he wants us to do.

Charlie has two dogs, and I have one. We live in a Trailer which I believe at one day we will be able to purchase if it is God’s will and if it isn’t that is fine as well. The Lord knows our needs before we do.
