Ultimate Blog Challenge for January 2019! Day 2

Good morning, How are you? As we sit down to work this morning I thought I would start out by saying thank you for stopping by. It’s rainy and cold here where I live. I must tell you this is going to be a interesting day. Charlie had his first sleep-over of 2019 last night. Two boys in a house on a PS3 all day. Lord help me…

Although if it does dry out I may send them to the park for a hour or two. Otherwise I plan on pulling all the board games Charlie got out for Christmas and they can play with them and watch TV some. Or they can play with Charlie’s Wrestlers. I Pray David is home between 2 and 3 and he can take the little boy home.

As we have errands to run this evening and I really don’t want to take the little boy with me. Although I would if I needed to. Because I worry about this child. David surprised me last night when he said he might need to adopt this child. Which if the truth was none I am beginning to believe tat as well. I will explain more about that at a later date.

I wanted to share today’s prompt with you in the Ultimate Blog Challenge for Day 2. This morning we were asked to share how we got started into Blogging and how we chose our Niche.

I begin blogging as a way to stay at home with my son. That was on August 28, 2008. Wow, that was a long time ago as my son would say. Back then I was Blogging on WordPress and my site was called Mommies Point of View and if truth is told I miss that blog a lot and being on Blogger. As it was easier for me.

Back then I focused more on Reviews and Giveaways. Especially Book Reviews. Although I did share stories of my family. As well as the adventures we went on. As I was a new mom with a son who was just turning one. I created my blog as a way to remain at home with my son. Because I didn’t want to put Charlie into Day Care.

2 years ago I move to WordPress and the name of my Blog changed to The Mommies Reviews and the Tagline became Adventures of a Family Living On A Budget in Texas. Or Blogging Through the Eyes of a Mom and Son as Charlie likes to say. Over time I become a Parenting Blogger sharing tips for parents, coupons, and Gluten Free Recipes.

As well as Reviews and Giveaways. I was Blessed to add Gift Guides to my site. At times I have even been able to get Charlie or David to blog for me. Although that is harder than having a tooth pulled. Then when Charlie began to Homeschool I added Homeschooling to my site and yes, Charlie is back in public school.

But with Charlie’s learning disabilities I share a lot of Homeschooling Resources as I work wit Charlie at Home to keep his grades up. Since I know a lot of Homeschoolers or people wanting to learn about Homeschooling I have kept that section because it is my goal to help other parents out when I can.

I will be bringing back on Monday’s Homeschool Blogger Shoutout, Tuesday Gluten Free Recipes, Wednesday Wordless Wednesday and Sunday’s Quotes to Motivate Us During the Week. As well as sharing my weight loss journey this year.

In the meantime have a wonderful day and come share with me the link to your blog if you blog and how you got started. Is there anything I can help you with?
