Wordless Wednesday: Early Summer Stillness

Wordless Wednesday

Good morning, How are you? Today is #WordlessWednesday and I wanted to take the time to share a new post with you this morning. Wordless Wednesday: Early Summer Stillness There is a quiet kind of moment that only seems to show up early in the morning during the summer months.

Before the day fully starts, before the house wakes up, and before responsibilities begin to stack one on top of another, there is a short window where everything feels still. It’s not dramatic. It’s not planned. It’s just life happening in its simplest form.

The light feels softer in the early hours of summer. Even familiar spaces look a little different when the sun is just beginning to rise. There is a calmness that doesn’t always last long, but it is noticeable if you pause long enough to see it.

Wordless Wednesday has become a small reminder to me that not everything needs to be explained, written, or structured. Some moments are meant to simply be noticed. For me personally Wordless Wednesday is one of those moments.

Sometimes it’s a quiet cup of coffee or tea even though it should be a glass of water before anyone else is awake. Sometimes it’s the sound of birds outside or the feeling of stillness in the house. Sometimes it’s just sitting and realizing how fast everything moves once the day begins.

None of it is complicated, but it matters in its own way. So today is simply a pause — a reminder to notice the season we are in while we are still living it. What is one small thing you’ve noticed this summer that you might have missed in a busier season?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
