You Always Think Your Packages Are Safe When FedEx Delivers Packages

I always thought we lived in a safe neighborhood where we didn’t have to worry about packages disappearing. Although this weekend I found out I was wrong. Sunday morning our family left to attend Media events. We left our dogs were inside the house so the mailman could open our gate and leave any packages or mail that wouldn’t fit into our mailbox. Even though “You Always Think Your Packages Are Safe When FedEx Delivers Packages”. I found out on Saturday I was wrong.

We were gone most of the day attending events and stopped to have lunch because I wasn’t expecting any packages to be delivered over the weekend. If they did then the Mailman, and Fed Ex or who ever delivered the packages could get inside our gate to drop the packages off and no,one would know they was inside our gate and take them.

Saturday evening we pulled up in front of our home and David says you have a package. Now, I have no, clue why it wasn’t placed inside the gate. David and I get out of the car to get the package.  Once we get closer to the box we notice the package had been opened and the contents inside the box had been taken. As well as any paper work they had included in the box.

I looked at the tag to see who had delivered the package. It was FedEx because I get packages from FedEx all the time and they know to set packages inside the fence this must have been a new driver. David went to call FedEx for me to file a report. FedEx wouldn’t take David’s statement as they wanted the company the package was sent from to call and file the complaint.

Tomorrow before I can even begin work I have to call my client and let them know what happened. As well as ask them to file a complaint and mail more products out. I just hope they don’t get to upset with me and pull out of this years Christmas Gift Guide because these were Gifts for Charlie.

I am afraid to leave home because all of my packages may disappear which keeps me from working and costing my clients extra money. Which I hate but they need to know what happened. All I can say is I hope the people who took the package needed it more than I did and that they enjoy what ever they got out of the box.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
