I don’t know about in your home but in our home, money seems to be going out the door faster than it comes in. David is the only one with a steady paycheck. C kept saying he was going to get a job and help with bills, but we all know what happened with that.
There is Gerald still sitting on the couch who thinks $200 a month is enough for rent and that barely covers the food he eats and the internet he uses. Then there is my blog and it has carried us in the past, but it doesn’t even make any money most weeks no, matter how much time I devote to my site.
I keep telling David I need to find a job but with my shoulder and knees hurting and going out from under me David doesn’t want me to find a job. He says I should apply for Social Security but I’m going to be 61 and it wouldn’t be worth it when I can wait and make more when David has to retire.
I’ve been spending more time researching⭐ WAYS WE CAN MAKE MONEY from home which is a new series we will be sharing with you, and this is our — FRIDAY EDITION. As I join these apps I will be sharing how they work for my family. If you use any of them let me know how they work for you.

Before I begin there’s one thing I’ve learned as a mom, a blogger, a wife, and a woman who has lived through more chaos than a Walmart on payday, it’s this:
Families need real ways to earn money — not scams, not hype, not “buy this course,” but REAL ways that REAL people can do TODAY.
And because our family is… well… our family, we don’t earn money in just one way. We earn in every way:
- Reading which I do almost daily and so do most of my friends. Just not David or Charlie.
- Walking is something I do daily and so does C and David does at work so earning money from walking is something we can share with Bradley.
- Dieting is defiantly something I would like to earn from because it might keep me motivated to stay on my diet and not only help me but my sister Debbie and my best friend Debbie Finney Sutton.
- Gaming is something I do on my phone every day and David started but stopped which is crazy when I’ve showed him I’ve earned money more times than I can count.
- Side jobs we all know Charlie and Davd are always doing these.
- Apps are something I will be researching to see what else we can do.
- Pets is something everyone I know has so if we can make money from them, it would be a Godsend.
- Blogging there is money to be made, and my friends do good at it but me not so much but I used to and I believe it will get better.
- Reviews people do charge for reviews and I haven’t, but I should start as a way to help my family.
- Cooking if only I was good enough.
- Homeschooling I know people sell items they make, and I’ve been told I can do but I just haven’t ventured into it, but I might.
- Saving if I could save money I would but David’s paycheck isn’t enough to invest or save.
- Stretching groceries I do this more times than you can count. Do you?
- And pure, stubborn determination my family has this and so does my family and friends. How about you?

⭐ 1. HOW I EARN MONEY READING BOOKS
Reading is my escape, my joy, my therapy, and now — my income.
✔ OnlineBookClub.org– I read books. I review them. I get paid. Simple. Honest. Real. I do use this site, and I like I can review books by my favorite Author which I did on our Road Trip the other day.
✔ Fiverr (Beta Reading & Reviews)– If you love reading, you can get paid to:
- Beta read
- Review books
- Proofread
- Summarize chapters
Teens 18+ can do this too. I will be checking into this site this week as a reviewer.
✔ Reedsy Discovery– Authors submit books. You read them. You review them. You earn. I also plan on checking out this site this week.
✔ Affiliate Links for Books– Every time someone buys a book through your link; you earn a little. The money may be slow, but it does add up.

David is a worker. A helper. A fixer. A man who will do anything for his family.

✔ TaskRabbit– Side jobs. Furniture assembly. Repairs. Errands. Once Charlie starts driving and he gets his license he will also be doing this.
✔ Handy– Home repairs. Assembly. Fix‑it works. David is also going to check this out as a way to earn extra money.
✔ DoorDash / Uber Eats– Flexible income. Fast cash. I have friends who do this and they do good. When Bradley and Charlie get their license, they will do this or C and I will.
✔ Facebook Marketplace– Flipping items. Selling extras. Clearing clutter. If we had things to sale I would do it but at the moment we don’t.
✔ Field Agent– Quick store tasks. Pays cash. I have not heard of this before I saw it online but will be checking into it.
✔ Gaming Apps
Yes — he games too. Mistplay + Rewarded Play = extra income.
David is proof that real men earn in real ways — not just 9–5.

⭐ 6. HOW OUR PETS EARN MONEY (YES, REALLY)
Bear and Pheobie are part of the family — and part of the income.

We don’t earn one way. We earn EVERY way. Because that’s what real families do. We hustle. We stretch. We create. We survive. We thrive. We make it work. And if we can do it — you can too. You do not need fancy equipment just five or ten minutes and a phone can make you a couple bucks which adds up.
