My nephew Jason moves from Elementary School to Middle School this year. I know this might be a scary time for him and his parents so I wanted to share some tips to make things easier. His sister will still be in Elementary School and even though Lily has been in this school a while not have Jason there can be scary for Lily as well.
I wanted to remined Jason my family knows starting middle school can feel like a big step because you will have new classes, more independence, and sometimes a bigger campus. There will be harder classes and more reasonability.
Here are some helpful tips for students entering middle school for the first time:

- Take Breaks When You Need To
It’s okay to pause and reset when you’re feeling overwhelmed. Remember to be true to yourself and other will be feeling the same way you are. Take a second to speak to everyone you come into contact with because you may be the only person they speak to all week.
