A new study based on Google search data reveals that Texas has the strongest obsession with Italian brainrot memes in the U.S.
The research by business productivity platform TEMPLATE.NET analyzed monthly Google search volumes for ten related terms, including “Italian brainrot memes,” “brainrot Italian memes,” “Italian brainrot characters,” and “all Italian brainrot memes”, across all 50 U.S. states. The search volumes were then compared against population figures to determine which states are the most meme-obsessed per capita.
Texas ranks first with 41.5 searches per 100,000 residents, a 38.3% higher search interest than the national average of 30. The Lone Star State, home to 31,853,800 residents, recorded 13,210 monthly searches for brainrot meme-related terms. Popular keywords include “Italian brainrot characters,” “Italian brainrot memes list,” and “AI memes,” revealing a strong cultural fascination.
Looking at the study, a spokesperson from TEMPLATE.NET commented:
