I wanted to share a fun fact with you about #GalentinesDay I don’t ever remember hearing of this #Holiday as a child. I only remember hearing about it the past couple years so when Charlie was @Homeschooling we didn’t learn about Galentine’s Day.
Because I believe learning shouldn’t stop no, matter how old we are I’ve decided to share what Galentine’s is and I’ve created a Lesson Plan you can use in your #Homeschool. I hope this #teachingmoment helps you out.

What Is Galentine’s Day?
Galentine’s Day is a celebration of friendship, especially among girls and women. Galentine’s Day was first introduced in 2010 on the TV show Parks and Recreation by the character Leslie Knope. Since then, Galentine’s Day has grown into a real-life holiday celebrated on February 13th, filled with joy, gratitude, and togetherness.

Craft Activities
Friendship Mailboxes: Decorate small boxes or bags. Kids write “kindness notes” to each other.
Paper Flower Bouquets: Use tissue paper or cupcake liners. Add a tag: “Thanks for helping me grow.” I would put “thanks for helping us bloom” because that is our word of the year.
Galentine’s Bracelets Beads + elastic string. Spell out words like FRIEND, KIND, LOVE.
Heart Collage Posters Use magazines, stickers, glitter, and markers. Prompt: “What does friendship look like?”
