I would like to share a new children’s book with you Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth published by Sanjay Patel & Emily Hanyes in exchange for this review.
I sat down to read my copy of Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth. As I read I found myself being pulled into the story asking myself what was going to happen and why.
I liked how there were words inside the story I hadn’t ever heard of. Then Charlie and I can research the words and use them in our Homeschool Spelling Class allowing me to expand Charlie’s learning.
Through Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth Charlie is know wanting to study Hindu Mythology which I no, nothing about and will be able to learn right along with Charlie.
I liked the Illustrations in Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth and the colors they use. The Mouse is cute and Charlie liked learning Ganesha is a Hindu God and that he has a Horn because it makes him different from anyone else.
About:
The bold, bright colors of India leap off the page in this fresh and funny picture book retelling of how Ganesha came to help write the epic Poem of Hindu literature, the Mahabharata.
Ganesha is just like any other kid, except that he has the head of an Elephant and rides around on a magical Mouse. And he loves sweets, but when Ganesha insists on biting into a super jumbo Jawbreaker Laddoo, his Tusk breaks off!
With the help of the wise Poet Vyasa, and his friend Mr. Mouse, Ganesha learns that what seems broken can be quite useful after all. With vibrant, graphic illustrations, expressive characters, and offbeat humor, this is a wonderfully inventive rendition of a classic tale.
